SHAI QING GREEN ORGANIC TEA
$ 50.00
Description
Unlike most green teas, this tippy, fruity tea is simply dried in the sun after being plucked at the highest elevations in Menghai, Yunnan, China, a region widely considered to be the birthplace of tea. Usually made as a first step in processing Pu Er tea, it's rare to have this tea finished and processed on its own, and at such great quality. This process gives this tea an olive-tone green and yellow color and with a high assortment of buds to leaves, this tea is brothy, rich and smooth. At first brew, you will get a mineral rich aroma, but the taste is exceptionally bright and fruity, almost berry-sweet. Light notes of hay round out the palate and a lingering finishing note of thyme completes the picture on this wonderful, and totally unusual green tea.
This tea is certified USDA organic.
